Every summer, Washington Park Neighbors brings the community together with Washington Park Wednesdays, a free concert series that fills the park with music, culture, and connection. Held every Wednesday from July through August, this series features an incredible lineup of artists, local food vendors, and activities for all ages—making it a staple of Milwaukee summers.
While Washington Park Neighbors leads the charge in organizing this incredible event, The New State is proud to play a behind-the-scenes role in bringing the music to life. Each week, we provide and set up the professional sound system that powers the performances, ensuring that every note and lyric reaches the crowd with clarity. More than just equipment, our involvement is also about creating opportunities for young people—we hire and train youth through our Youth Earn & Learn Program to assist with sound setup and breakdown, giving them hands-on experience in live event production.
Washington Park Wednesdays is more than just a concert series—it's a celebration of local talent, a gathering place for neighbors, and a reminder of the power of community.
